Poor Man’s Mocap

This year my friend Judd gave a talk entitled Uncharted Animation: An In-depth Look at the Character Animation Workflow and Pipeline. In the talk, he showed what they call ‘poor man’s mocap’, where the animator can load up a sequence of frames and they are sync’d with the timeline in Maya. So as someone scrubs an animation, it scrubs the frames of the video. I have duplicated this in a small maxscript available in cryTools. You can grab it in the [Tutorials/Files] section.
